Oh, I didn't know you were doing this -- or I did long enough ago that I wasn't into vintage fashion yet, so didn't register. Peggy Carter totally tipped me over into a 40s fascination, which has extended to the 30s. (50s can be very wearable, but to me screams too much of the "get the women back to postwar traditional female roles!) I've backed away from buying/wearing actual 40s, as my apartment closets are too small to buy things just as collectibles and often 40s is a bit fragile for daily wear, but it's still sprinkled into my wardrobe. And my favorite local clothing shop/brand, D L Cerney, is modern clothing with a serious influence anywhere from 30s-60s.
I've been fascinated with fashion history since I was about 8 or 9, but I collect vintage magazines and catalogues rather than the actual garments. I don't have the room to store them, and I definitely wouldn't be able to fit into most vintage clothes! The blog is my way of sharing my interest, though you'll notice that I dropped it for a while, before reviving it last year.
