I dropped into JB HiFi after work tonight to buy the first season of "The Fugitive". It was priced $24.95, but was also part of a '2 for $30' deal. So I grabbed the first season of "The Untouchables" while I had the chance, and am now the proud owner of two early sixties crime dramas. Now I'll have to decide which one to start watching first!

There is an episode of The Fugitive called "Fun and Games and Party Favors" with my most obscure fannish beloved in a small role. I think he plays a sexual harasser or something equally distasteful, so I haven't been able to bring myself to watch, though it's online. I wonder if that's in your just-purchased season.

I had a look on IMDB, and that episode is in the second series. (I'm trying to guess who your fannish fave is--Mark Goddard?) One of mine had a guest role in The Untouchables, but not until the third or forth season.

I'll probably be playing "spot the actor" as I watch a lot of these!

Pete Duel -- he still would have been Peter Deuel back then. Back in Salon days, Deb and I got into his show Alias Smith and Jones. I'd long moved on, but the (northern hemisphere) summer before last I found my old fanfic -- I'd written reams of it -- and got caught up in it again. I've been having fun buying box sets of things he guested in, having already collected his major works. (He died at 31, so it's somewhat limited . . . )
